Let's jump in and discover together!

What are Player Prop Bets?

Player prop bets, often called “props,” focus on individual players' actions rather than the overall game result. They're popular in various sports, especially in baseball. In the MLB, these bets zoom in on specific player achievements such as hits, strikeouts, home runs, etc.

Taj Bradley O 5.5 Strikeouts (-184) (FanDuel) | Player Prop

The first player prop catching our attention is Taj Bradley over 5.5 strikeouts.

Bradley has gone over this line in 71% of games this season, including three of the last four games.

Tonight, Bradley faces the A’s, who rank 5th for most team strikeouts recorded per game.

In addition, Bradley had an incredible 11 strikeouts in four innings against the A’s last season.

Given these factors, we strongly favor the over for tonight.

Yusei Kikuchi 4+ Hits Allowed (-150) (DraftKings) | Player Prop

Our second player prop for today's games is Yusei Kikuchi 4+ hits allowed.

Kikuchi has gone over this line in 84% of games this season, including 17 of the last 20 games.

Furthermore, Kikuchi has gone over in each of the last three games against Boston, including a game this season where he allowed 7 hits to the Red Sox.

The Red Sox also record the most hits (9.2 per game) out of every team in the MLB.

Given these factors, we favor his over for tonight

Seth Lugo U 2.5 Earned Runs (-150) (DraftKings) | Player Prop

The last player prop for tonight’s games is Seth Lugo under 2.5 earned runs.

Lugo has gone under this line in 72% of games this season.

While he’s gone over in 4 of the last 6 games, he faced Boston (4th) twice and Minnesota (8th) once, both of whom rank in the top ten for runs recorded per game.

Tonight, Lugo faces the Angels, who rank 26th in runs recorded per game.

Lugo has only allowed one run in each of his last two games against the Angels from this and last season.

Given these factors, we’re liking the under for tonight.

Two-leg Same Game Parlay (+230) (FanDuel)

Last but not least, it wouldn't be a Hall of Fame Bets blog post without utilizing the Parlay Optimizer to build a parlay for tonight’s slate. This parlay consists of these two legs from DraftKings:

This parlay hit in the last game against Tanner Houck.

As well as 7 of the last 10 games, and 55% of the last 20 games.

With FanDuel offering it at +230 odds, the value presented makes this parlay too enticing to pass up.
